Local Action for a Sustainable Tomorrow

Here is a brief summary of our 1st & 2nd meetings in the Sequim Library that took place on 1/16 & 1/23/08.
Our focus was on the LAST Action Planner and assembling specific information for LAST handout sheets for the Making It Last! Sustainability Event that is scheduled for March 21 & 22. These handout sheets will have specific information of one of our Focus Areas on one side and general useful information on the other side that are the highlights from each Focus Area.

Sid gave an update on the SCALLOPS meeting of 1/13/08 in Port Hadlock. SCALLOPS stands for Sustainable Communities All Over Puget Sound. There are currently 42 communities involved. For more info>>

Much discussion took place regarding all the sustainability issues in our area through our areas of focus. Our next meeting will be more task oriented and we will split into small groups.

We had 12 people on 1/16 and 14 on 1/23.
