TODAY, May 31, is the last day to make a bold step toward supporting local farms and ensuring food security in Lane County! Local activist Erin Ely has submitted the idea of starting a year-round farmer's market in Eugene to www.ideablob.com. The winning idea gets $10,000.

We have LOST our lead and our now in SECOND place. We are down by approximately 60 votes to an idea where this one rock-star dude basically gets to pocket the money for himself!

It takes only three minutes to register and vote and it is very easy to get off their list after the voting is done. I did not get any spam as result of signing up either--only invitations to vote for the next month's ideas.
