RAISE AWARENESS 

If you are interested in raising awareness about peak oil, the challenges and changes we face, and about the strategy of relocalization, there are a variety of different options to choose from.

Hosting events is a great way of raising awareness and is also a great way to find people that want to join your efforts of raising awareness in your community. Some event types are:

• End of Suburbia Screenings
• Film Screenings
• Participatory Conferences
• Symposiums
• Energy Town Halls
• Demonstrations
• Communtiy Think tanks

Other ideas

There are many other ways to help raise awareness such as;

• Write op-eds and letters to the editor of newspapers regarding peak oil related issues
• Host and speak at events
• Hand out flyers at events and on streets (See bottom of page for a PDF version of a synopsis of the Party's Over by Richard Heinberg)
• Make a documentary
• Talk to people
• Make and post publicity material (e.g., a poster, sticker)
