Post Carbon Institute Internship Program

Post Carbon Institute is offering several volunteer internships through which the interns will learn about peak oil and the implications of global over-reliance on cheap energy and how Post Carbon Institute offers action oriented solutions to these challenges. We are looking primarily for applicants in the Vancouver area that can work in our office.

• Research interns. Work with founder Julian Darley and contribute to the Think Tank aspect of Post Carbon Institute.
• Communications interns. Work with Communications Coordinator to develop website content.
• Energy Farm Demonstration Project interns. Work at the Post Carbon Institute section of the UBC Farm.
• Funding interns.  Working with development coordinator with funding strategy implementation.

Other Intern Possibilities  

• Self design Design your own internship. Work to develop an internship that will be mutually beneficial for PCI and the advancement of personal development goals.
• Peak Oil Blogger Promote PCI and Global Pubic Media news and concepts on blogs
• Coalition Development Assistant Identify organizations working on environmental and social justice causes, localization or peak energy. Engage with them to consider joining a coalition for Global Relocalization.
• Online Traffic Manager Create and implement a strategy to help raise the visitors to the Post carbon Institute and Global Public Media web sites. This will likely include monitoring and posting to blogs and developing a reciprocal link program, as well monitoring site traffic.
