Any interest - Idaho's Bounty group order, order submit date: Wed 26March.

Order submit date would be Wed 26 March. Order payment due Saturday, 29 March.
Pick-up/delivery date would be April 9 or 10, depending on delivery options. There is a chance we can get this order delivered. I will check on this.

Membership fee is currently at $10/family. Those who overpaid will get a credit on their next order. Our group has space for 10 more members.

New things available on the current open order date that stand out:
cherry tomatoes, arugula, mesclin, spinach,
Icelandic sheep (the kind that say Baaaaa), wool products (wool, roving, raw fleece), chorizo, lamb.
Hailey Coffee Company beans - roasted in Hailey. (Hmmm......only marginally local.)
Basil plants, herb garden plants, lavender plants,
Green bean seeds from Mike Heath's farm.

Sales tax is 6% on subtotal. Coop handling fee is 15% on subtotal. I will send invoices Thursday 27 March with cost breakdown.

Any interest?

Yes!

This sounds fantastic, but can you give me a bit more information? I just joined this group as of 5 minutes ago - and just got back from a visit this weekend to Cloverleaf in Buhl...met the girls. Did a quick search for Boise locavores, and this listserve came up. Thanks!

Welcome! I don't see you as

Welcome!
I don't see you as part of the BSLC relocalize group yet. As soon as that's done I can be in touch with you about joining the Idaho's Bounty buying group we have. If we work quickly we may still be able to add you to the upcoming order.

And I'd like to ask - would you share your impressions of Cloverleaf? I'm interested in hearing about your visit.

It looks like we're good to go for this order cycle. So in case you haven't already contacted me but you're interested in getting on board this time you're most welcomed to join. If you'd rather send me questions in an email, give a shoutout on this thread and I'll be in touch with you via email.

Happy green sprouty things!

Rats

We're going to have to take a pass on this one since we'll be OOT next week, but I'm in for the next! I love that Ballard Family cheese--I highly recommend the Idaho White Cheddar.

Idaho's Bounty

I would also be interested. I see that there is an order cycle going on now - but that close date is March 21st - is this the one that you are thinking? Or do we have something different than the info listed at Idaho's Bounty website since the next one doesn't start till March 31st? I will be out of town April 6th thru the 11th so would need to see if someone could hold it for a couple of days...

Because we order as a group,

Because we order as a group, we need to get our total order and funds together as a group ahead of time. So it's a bit late for the cycle that's currently open - besides which the fresh produce sells early in the cycle and we have likely missed that by now. The next one that would work would be the following open order cycle (31 March).

Next week is spring break, so I'm trying to gauge what impact that might have on the order. If there's enough interest we can go ahead. If not we can wait for the following cycle, which would be the second week of April.

BTW we can store your order for you if you'd like. There also may be folks closer to you who would be willing as well.

Food order

Thanks Anneliese - do you think that the products will change much? I looked at the additions, changes and deletions for this current ordering cycle and there were a number of fresh produce choices that were removed. I am most interested in the fresh greens but may try some dried beans and lamb.

Will start working on an order based on the current list. Is there anyone interested in splitting a sack of beans? (or anything else?).

When I talk to Jeannie about

When I talk to Jeannie about the pick-up I'll ask her about their change deadline, ie when they last update the offering list. I noticed that the carrots have been sold out for a while. (They are not available this order cycle, either.) But overall my guess is that fresh greens and produce will increase in availability in the coming weeks, rather than diminish. I'll ask Jeannie if she has any sense of how the offerings might change.

Also, the Boise farmer's market is set to open in early April I believe. I'm curious about what will be available right in our own community this early on.

yep!

I followed your last discussion with interest, but didn't participate (just shy, I guess!). I'd jump at the chance to order yummy local foods!

So glad to hear you're

So glad to hear you're interested!
Post your order when you can. You can edit up to the deadline, so it can be a preliminary list.

If we can get an idea of the size of this order that will help us determine our pick-up/delivery method.

Thanks and Welcome!
