re your querie about what was the "Amazon Bike Tour"?

Hi "Sunny55jc":

Two similar events to the 'Amazon bike tour' are happening in the preceding weeks. Please go to these two event links at bottom, also thru Post Carbon Eugene, for more. As I don't see your name on the member list for the Post Carbon Eugene group, I'll mention that our city of Eugene has recognized neighborhoods in a city neighborhood network: www.eugene-or.gov/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=230&PageID=422&parentn...

Amazon Neighborhood is #13 on the map at this link above. As we prepare for energy uncertainty/peak oil, neighborhoods will become vitally important to the economic survival of all. We're utilizing this fully to get to know our neighbors and see innovative things people in the neighborhoods are doing with their homes, as the cost of everything will require us to Relocalize our economies. Food, most importantly. The word Amazon in this case refers to the Amazon Creek and park just to it's west, a main tributary to the 'Long Tom' aquifer and part of the much larger Whilamut/Willamette River watershed of western Oregon. Of course feel free to adopt this same activity to your community's own needs. If you need more specifics on what they'll be doing, feel free to contact Erik from Amazon Neighborhood, at mulpop@efn.org

Thanks,

'Sundog'
