Corn Gluten Meal

We spread corn gluten meal on our yard a couple of days ago. It is a light fertilizer, plus weed suppressant. I don't think it is organically-grown corn, but it is supposed to be a good way to prevent weeds and fertilize without using chemical herbicides or feeds. We bought a big bag at Zamzows and used half of it. There is enough left over to treat about 1000 square feet of yard, and I'd be interested in bartering it for produce (no zucchini or squash though--I gotta draw the line somewhere!), eggs, or maybe some perennial plants or bulbs.

We'd be keeping the rest of the bag for this spring--you're supposed to treat again when the forsythia blooms--but my husband is concerned that it might be pretty attractive to rodents over the winter and would just as soon we got it out of our garage. I hope someone here is interested!
