There is a good documentary available to watch on the internet called "Oil. Smoke and Mirrors". The whole documentary consists of interviews with the usual peak oil activists, (Cambell, Heinberg). The first half is all about peak oil. The second half is about how Peak Oil is related to 911 and the War on Terror. They make a pretty good argument for government complicity, but can't prove it.

There is a Dish Network and DirectTV channel called LinkTV which is owned by a nonprofit corp. in California whose purpose is to educate the public. They will be airing a 4 hour 2 part documentary called the End of Oil on March 1st and 2nd, between 5pm and 12AM. For more info her is the link:
