Big Sur Radio

The latest fire in Big Sur is another reminder of the importance of which radio can play in the Big Sur community. I am embarrassed that I had not created an accessible studio, and that the KSUR 93.7FM transmitter was limping along with at 8 watts after the transmitter shed was tipped over by a cow with an itch. That all being said we are back up at 85 watts and I have received calls from the south coast. The facts are that the FCC has closed the window for LP-100 licensing and there are no plans for the LP-10's thus far. As chief engineer Don Mussel of KUSP has stated there is simply nothing to apply for. So here we are. Radio is the fastest medium to get the word out. Anyone interested in the creation of studio space should contact me at code831@aol.com thanks Jordan
