Relocalize upgrade to Drupal5

Yeah!

We upgraded the backend to drupal5, now to make it pretty....

Farmers Market in Kits - Make your voice heard - CoV

We have a chance do get a Farmer's Market in Kitsilano which will be a whole lot more convenient than schlepping to Trout Lake for fresh goodies. To
get this opportunity we need to show support for the idea. Please send
a simple email to the address posted below saying you support a
Farmer's Market in Kitsilano. No easier
way into the 100 mile diet than to support the local growers; no better
way to improve your health than to develop a relationship with the
people who grow your food!

This flyer is to encourage your input on a proposal from
“Your Local Farmer’s Market Society”, to operate an outdoor Market in Connaught Park.
The days & times would be Sundays between 10am – 2 pm on July 15, 22, 29, August 5,
12, 19, 26, September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and October 7, 14 in 2007.

The location would be the Kitsilano Community Centre Rink Parking lot. See diagram below

Group Home Page Improvements

In the last month, the tech team at Post Carbon has been working on improving the group homepages for the Relocalization Groups.

We want to make the group home pages configurable, so each group can have control over the look and layout of the page.
We have made a new template, which features group content in a more natural layout. We will be offering a couple different layouts, and groups can upload their own logo and photos into the template to personalize their page.

Group members have been asking for their own menu, so we developed a new menus module that will let group coordinators set menu items. This means the group home can have sections, nested content and links to external sites that relate to the group.

Improved group directory services are also on the list of improvements we are working on. The directory will allow members to create a list of local services, and be able to browse the directory on a map of their locale. Group members will also be able to search the directory by proximity (find the nearest bike repair shop) to discover services in their area.

For more information on HOW the group pages are structured using drupal, contact me.
