This link (http://www.rte.ie/tv/futureshock/av_20070618.html) is to a 1-hour show by RTE 1, one of the (few) Irish TV channels, on PO, aired June 18 2007 and well received on The Oil Drum (www.theoildrum.com). It's IMO a realistic view of PO, with plenty of reflection on the modes of dependency of the modern Irish economy, which is exceptionally dependent on transport and imports (think tourism!), and the great errors of recent (and ongoing) planning and development.

I'd say it's well worth watching and sharing. It's made for a mass audience, and is less into details of PO than into economic repercussions, but I still found it fairly compelling (cuz I'm Irish?). The mass education effort is underway, that's for sure. So when will CBC offer us the same?
