A brief introduction to soil, benefits of composting, what you need to begin composting, how to set up and maintain a compost bin, and how to use compost.

In addition, thanks to the generosity of the PA Department of Environmental Protection, participants will also receive an Earth Machine Compost Bin at the end of the session. Ideal for backyard composting, this compost bin has an 80 gallon capacity, stands nearly 3 feet high, and retails around $70 to $80.

Cost of class is $25 per person or $35 per couple.
