End of Suburbia in Oakville, Ontario @ Kerr Street Ministries

Description: Liz Benneian and Mike Balkwill are leading seminars following the End of Suburbia Screening to build community leadership for effective action and social change.

While these seminars build on the background established through the screening of The End of Suburbia and subsequent seminars on Peak Oil, those attending the upcoming seminars don't have to have seen the documentary or attended the last sessions.

The next workshop in the Series will be Sunday December 4from1:30 – 4:30p.m. at Kerr Street Ministry located at 484 Kerr Street.

The workshop will be in two parts – an interesting collective mask making workshop and a guest speaker on renewable energy. As the root cause analysis helped us to dig beneath the presenting problems to get at the root issues, this mask-making workshop will help us get under our surface feelings to find our strengths. This hands-on workshop will be co-lead by Mike Balkwill and Pamela Schuller. (See Pamela’s website at http://www.stonemasque.com ) Guest Speaker: In addition, Liz Benneian will introduce Herbert Sinnock a professor at Centennial College who is an expert on renewable energy. Hebert will talk about the potential of renewable energy sources and some of the innovative initiatives CentennialCollege is implementing. After his talk you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

For more information call Mike 905 812 7545 or Liz – 905 257 0250

Sunday, December 4 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. downstairs at Kerr Street Ministries, 484 Kerr Street.

Cost for this seminar is $10 and we will be giving half of the total as a donation to Kerr Street Ministries.

Looking forward to seeing you at the coming seminars.
