Organic Flour for Sale from our Mill | Council of Canadians FundraiserSubmitted Wed, 2008-12-24 14:12 — Marion West Think Global. Act Local! Support our flour mill built in 1819! This is the last remaining original mill in North America still using half water power (turbine). This year reclaim your Christmas holidays. Make your holiday a celebration of food, family & life! - not stuff! Think Global. Act Local! Support our own independent mill built in 1819. Let's not take something we are so fortunate to have for granted. Purchase your flour this month from Council of Canadians | London Chapter . Your purchase will help support not only our work - you will be supporting & relocalizing your community. Support our organic farmers! By supporting organic methods we demonstrate respect towards our planet that so graciously sustains us. Of course, your purchase does not have to be completely altruistic. The cost of our flour is competitive. For approx. 50 cents more, you are paying true cost & reaping the rewards. It enables our families, as well as the families and children of the farmers, to be healthier by way of limiting our exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides which destroy our ecosystem and all life within it. Let’s be the change we wish to see. The White Stripes support the mill – we should too! White Stripes Secret Show Video About the Arva flour Mill: Description: Built in 1819. One of the oldest roller flour mills in the Middlesex area still producing flour. Mill uses half water power (turbine) and half hydro power. Store on site where flour products are sold. Council of Canadians wishes to thank the people of Arva Flour Mills for their great generosity and assistance.
