Purchase your flour this month from Council of Canadians | London Chapter . Your purchase will help support not only our work - you will be supporting & relocalizing your community.

Support our organic farmers! By supporting organic methods we demonstrate respect towards our planet that so graciously sustains us. Of course, your purchase does not have to be completely altruistic. The cost of our flour is competitive. For approx. 50 cents more, you are paying true cost & reaping the rewards. It enables our families, as well as the families and children of the farmers, to be healthier by way of limiting our exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides which destroy our ecosystem and all life within it.

About the Arva flour Mill:

Description: Built in 1819. One of the oldest roller flour mills in the Middlesex area still producing flour. Mill uses half water power (turbine) and half hydro power. Store on site where flour products are sold.

Grow Australia's biggest watermelon with the Junior Landcare Challenge. You can enter online as a school/youth group or individual at www.juniorlandcarechallenge.com

Step 1- register online to receive your project kit and watermelon seeds
Step 2- enter your watermelon's weight and circumference each month
Step 3- enter your final measurements by 6 March 2009 to be in the running!
Step 4- eat your juicy watermelon!

Registrations close on November 7th.
