Capital Region Energy Forum Meeting

Jim Kunstler will be our first speaker of this new season on Monday, January 12. Jim is a noted author - his latest book is "World Made By Hand” Of course he also wrote the important book “The Long Emergency: Surviving the End of Oil”.
"The Energy World and its Connection to This Financial Tsanami" will be the subject of his presentation.
Jim Kunstler is always one of our best, and most provocative, speakers. This promises to be a very interesting evening
The meeting will be at 7:30 in the Italian American Community Center (IACC) on Washington Ave. Ext. Remember the IACC has a great Buffet dinner for about $27 so come early. If you intend to partake of the dinner please notify Ruthann Swartz at rswartz@yahoo.com.

This is a really hot and timely subject- especially for many of CREF members who are invested in the market. As always, it is free and you are encouraged to bring relatives or friends. If you arrive by 7PM there will be a “What’s new in energy” discussion.

Organic Flour for Sale from our Mill | Council of Canadians Fundraiser

Think Global. Act Local! Support our flour mill built in 1819! This is the last remaining original mill in North America still using half water power (turbine).
2.5 kg / 5.5 lb for 6.00
For Christmas Gifts? 4 bags for 20.00

This year reclaim your Christmas holidays. Make your holiday a celebration of food, family & life! - not stuff! Think Global. Act Local! Support our own independent mill built in 1819. Let's not take something we are so fortunate to have for granted.

Purchase your flour this month from Council of Canadians | London Chapter . Your purchase will help support not only our work - you will be supporting & relocalizing your community.

Support our organic farmers! By supporting organic methods we demonstrate respect towards our planet that so graciously sustains us. Of course, your purchase does not have to be completely altruistic. The cost of our flour is competitive. For approx. 50 cents more, you are paying true cost & reaping the rewards. It enables our families, as well as the families and children of the farmers, to be healthier by way of limiting our exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides which destroy our ecosystem and all life within it.

Let’s be the change we wish to see.
This flour is not available at the mill. It has been milled & packaged exclusively for Council of Canadians | London. Your choice of organic white or organic whole wheat. Call 519.872.0978 to arrange pick up. Delivery available at additional cost.

The White Stripes support the mill – we should too! White Stripes Secret Show Video
