I have been thinking lately that it would be cool to have a "freecycle" exchange among BSLC members. I guess what that means is if you have too much clutter in your life and would like to have an outlet for getting rid of it, you could list your items on here and whoever may be interested in it could make arrangements to get unwanted items from you.
Would anybody be interested?

Free stuff
I have many dark green 3 liter glass bottles. They are great passive solar collectors. They also work well for water storage.

I have:
I have:
1 turkey, frozen, 15 lbs. A gift from my work for Thanksgiving.
1 ski jacket, size large--good shape. I don't wear it anymore.
1 polaroid camera--works good. I don't want to use it anymore because of the battery disposal.
1 mini fridge with a glass door, works good
1 stereo cabinet, oak with smoked glass doors (space for record player on top shelf)
Burn calories, not gasoline!

Great Idea!
I think that's a great idea! We tend to take stuff fairly regularly to the thrift store so would have some stuff to list.
Anybody want any colorful CD cases? ;-)

re: Freecycle!
Hi there, just thought I'd say hello and put in my two cents that Freecycle is awesome. I'm originally from the US but when my husband and I moved to Australia two years ago, the first thing we did was get a couple Freecycled sinks for the house we would begin building - and saved nearly $700 by doing so. The whole story is here.
Last weekend our relocalization group, SustainaBundy, held our first of many garage sale parties, to promote "Buying Second Hand First." Anything that was left over is either being donated to charity or Freecycled with our local Freecycle group. the more people you can get involved in Freecycling the better - it increases the amount of stuff you're keeping out of the landfills. Good luck!
