Our mission is to facilitate the development and execution of plans to help relocalise the towns and communities of the Blackall Range and surrounds, with a special focus on Maleny.
This includes:
- Educating members of the community about the issues of peak oil, climate change, and relocalisation.
- Providing opportunities for the community to network, collaborate, and develop constructive projects towards a shared vision.
- Promoting the importance of peak oil to policy makers, emphasising local solutions.
- Developing an Energy Descent Action Plan for the region
- Implementing strategies outlined in the EDAP
