Groton Local is a people powered volunteer action organization dedicated to local solutions for global problems that are resulting from climate change and depletion of oil and other natural resources. We intend to work with already established committees and organizations, whenever possible. Our intent is to work with the community and network with other groups on actions to strengthen local food, economy, and energy. In the next year, we’re hoping to have a community garden established, work with local farmers and businesses to strengthen our local economy, educate through events & literature, and run programs that will reduce the town’s carbon emissions.
