Group manager: David Parkinson

Our mission statement: V8A aims to create open and inclusive local government as well as a regional economy that reflects the unique character and values of the local population, respects our natural surroundings, and meets present needs without compromising the needs of future generations.

We’re an association of citizens on BC’s Upper Sunshine Coast developing sane and human-scale responses to the challenges posed by resource depletion, global ecological devastation, and geographical isolation. We believe that a mobilized and informed citizenry is essential to making the transition to the coming low carbon world, and we hope to help lead by providing ideas and creating actions to help people adapt to a changing world.
