Steve and Harry both have years of experience growing and looking for strategies to store and preserve garden and orchard foods in our damp climate. We will look at a range of roots, fruits, herbs, grains, etc.
-when to harvest
-how much cleaning
-what kind of spaces are necessary for dry storage
-how much of various crops are needed for a Winter
-checking for signs of rot or spoilage
-what needs freezing or canning (brief coverage of methods)
-using this information to plan next seasons garden
