Is this group active? I tried emailing the person listed in the group's details, but never received a response. I'd really like to make contact with some people in the Cities about these issues.
You have made contact with one person. This is good.
I was contacted by one other person several weeks ago, too. Should we start something or do you think there is a better place to connect with others who think like us?
Do you want to get together for coffee or something and talk about it? (And what about the other person you've made contact with? Do they want to come too?) I've emailed Shelby the Relocalization Network Coordinator, to ask for advice/ideas about what a re-started group might look like...
Okay, good. I have been poking around in various internet forums looking for people to connect with, but no luck so far. I'd like to start something. (Though I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure what "something" might look like--but we can toss some ideas around as we go, yes?)
Thanks for posting. I haven't been able to get in touch with the coordinators who started up this group and I have a feeling they're no longer active. If you would be interested in kick starting this group again, let me know and I can help you get started. Feel free to email me at "network at postcarbon dot org" or using the contact form here. You can also find information about groups and the Network under the 'join' drop down on the top menu bar.
I periodically check in to see what's posted, but they have been few and far between. Locally, Brian Merchant and I have been active in an "Energy Transitions Task Force" meeting in St. Paul. Perhaps we could get this web outpost kick-started. Shelby- I'll send you an email. - JS
