Ken Deffeyes, author of "Hubbert's Peak - The Impending World Oil Shortage", gives a January 19th, 2007 update reaffirming his belief that 2005 will be the year that Peak Oil was reached globally. Ken Deffeyes is a retired geologist who taught at Princeton and was a colleague of M. King Hubbert (who predicted in 1956 that US production would peak in 1970). This update provides a good introduction to Deffeyes understanding of the issue and his substantial humor in explaining it.
