This will be our regular weekly meeting. Our focus will be on assembling specific information for LAST handout sheets for the Making It Last! Sustainability Event that is scheduled for March 21 & 22.
These LAST handout sheets will have specific information of one of our Focus Areas on one side and general useful information on the other side that are the highlights from each Focus Area. A LAST Handout template can be found at http://relocalize.net/last_handout_template .
Everyone is asked to select 1, 2, or 3 Focus Areas and come to the meeting with information or ideas about that/those area(s) or a Handout to consider. Wi-Fi is available in our meeting room, so bring your laptops if you have Wi-Fi connections capability. As a minimum, Sid & Laura will bring their laptop for us to use in this information gathering process.
Ideas about our LAST booth:
1. A drawing give-a-way for a worm bin that Sid is constructing.
2. Have signup sheets for emails of people that want to be informed of LAST activities or to be involved.
3. Have a flyer about LAST and our weekly meetings.
4. WiFi will be available. We need to bring our own table(s). The booth space is enough for a 6-7’ table. Power is available. A wall space is requested. There are high ceilings.
5. We will have 2 laptops in the booth.
6. We will have a signup sheet for LAST volunteers in our booth for Saturday at Making It Last!
At this week's meeting, we will meet briefly, 5-10 minutes, to discuss general sustainability happenings of the week and then break into specific Focus Area small groups to work on the handout sheets.
As always, if we have new people to the group that night, Sid will meet with them separately to orient them to our LAST group and its mission/objectives. This way the group can focus on the tasks at hand while new people get information about our group and its direction.
