Do you know someone who could benefit from the State's weatherization program for low-income households (monthly income below $1,064 for first person and $462 for each additional person)? Home weatherization is part of LIHEAP: Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program. The person
must be a home owner to be eligible for the weatherization service.
Measures such as insulation of ceilings and hot-water tanks can save 10-20% on heating bills at little or no cost to the home owner. The only requirement is to attend a two-hour workshop, which begins after Dec 1, with weekday classes at 10 am or 2 pm. Just call Olycap at 360-385-2571 and say "I want to sign up for energy assistance".
