Sacramento Post-carbon Action Network (SPAN)

Greetings, All.
Just a note to let you know Sacramento is online with PCI. Like you, just getting started.
Last night, while attending the premiere of "Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price," I saw some of your materials at the Organic Sacramento table.
I think it's a good idea for all of us to collaborate. On this end, I will not be able to get the ball really rolling until the new year. Initial activities will include bringing Richard Heinberg to Sacramento and approaching the City Council about passing a resolution recognizing peak oil, forming a task force, actively informing the public and working with grass roots organizations to prepare for the coming crises.
We have much to do and little time. Let's make the most of it with synergistic cooperation and coordination.
You can visit us at: www.postcarbon.org/groups/span or e-mail me at denise4peace@hotmail.com
Also, may I suggest, unless you really DON'T want anyone contacting you, that all members edit their user accounts to accept mail. Otherwise, members will not be able to communicate through the site directly with another member, but will have to post blogs, which can become cumbersome and obscure information you want to keep before the public eye, if it chances to come across your site.
I will encourage all SPAN members to do the same.
**Denise (for Peace, Sustainability and Solidarity)**
