End Of Suburbia showing, March 12 - Our tabling crew at work !!

The first free local screening of the documentary film, "The End of Suburbia, Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the American Dream" was held  between 3 and 6 p.m. this last Sunday, March 12, at the Sanchez Concert Hall, 1220 Linda Mar Blvd.

Commentary following the film was by Michael Carrick of the S.F. Oil Awareness Group.

Reports from Bay Solar Power Design, SunPower Corporation (solar panel makers); Pacifica Biodeisel Co-op; Coastside Livability Project (on "relocalization"); S.F. TURN (Toward Utility Rate Normalization), San Mateo County's RecycleWorks (gardening, composting and worm bins), HMB Freecycle, Belika (eco shopping bags), Pacifica Ocean Discovery Center, and others. Refreshments served.

It was a good turnout - about 50 to 60 people I'd guess.
