Looking for members/groups in Victoria BC

I live in Victoria BC and the Vancouver group is the closest I could find. I am hoping to attend online discussions or in-person meetings as they relate to Victoria and Vancouver Island post-carbon solutions.

Thanks,

Jason

RelocalizeNow Victoria

Dear Jason, I also live in Victoria, it is a pity we don't have a group here yet. RelocalizeNow just came out, I ordered a copy from amazon.com. Hopefully that will provide some ideas about how best to begin. Best wishes, CH

Relocalization Network - Needs to be one in Victoria, British Co

Dear Jason: i second your comment. i also live in Victoria and realize that the need for a relocalization group is even greater here because we are located on an island and are separate from the mainland making it difficult and expensive to transport food and other staples here from the the mainland where they are not available on the Island. In a matter of years or even months the necessity for such a group may become an emergency and i do realize the time limitations combined with monetary limitations makes it difficult for people to attend such groups. Therefore the group should have as wide a focus as possible. i am also a member of the Local Exchange Trading System Community (LETS) and such a group could be incorporated into LETS as an adjunct.
