Wow. I just had a great massage and conversation with Heike Be.
She is literally a mover and shaker in P.G. co-producing the Friday night Dance Jam at Chautauqua hall (with Donna Kaufman).
Taking a music/dance class, massage, or even a single dance or conversation I always feel more alive after hanging with Heike.

So we were talking about the importance of dance and singing and touch. Without them we risk turning into a tin man on the wrong side of the rainbow: rusty and maybe stuck in the forest alone wondering where the heart went.

Heike exclaimed: singing and dancing are the real health insurance!

Maybe "health assurance" is more precise. But what a reminder. Spain, Africa, Ireland... so much of the world sings together. The U.S. is watching American Idol(atry).

I am sure Heike can explain the esoteric health benefits better than I but I have to voice the good for the community, for the heart of drumming, singing, and dancing together.
