Recent Efforts
1. A number of our members have been appointed to the Pine Mountain Planning Committee
2. Selected questions related to interest in sustainable issues were included in the Planning Committee’s bi-annual Membership Survey
3. Sustainability was one of four Alternative Futures Scenarios presented this Spring at the bi-annual Community Planning Workshop. The issue of Peak Oil was presented for the first time to our community at large.
4. Ten additional people signed up to be involved in Let’s Live Local efforts that day.

Next Steps
1. Obtain funding to conduct a Community Sustainability Assessment We will be reviewing and using the Post Carbon Fund Raising Kit in this effort and hope to begin submitting grant proposals by the first of 2007.
2. Identify which projects(s) and/or program(s) to begin with
3. Develop plans for initial project(s)
4. Implement our first project.
