URGENT: Interested in the Media Aspect of Peak Oil?

Body:

Greetings, All!

Sorry for the late notice on this; I just received this information this morning (see IndyMedia announcement, below)!

Did you know that Sacramento has a Public Access cable T.V. channel that is free for use by individuals and organziations who complete a basic training course?

SPAN needs a media working group. If you are interested in being a part of this group--especially if you are interested in spearheading it!--please make every effort to attend the potluck and training TONIGHT (Sunday June 11).  Hope to see you there!

The APPLE (http://www.apple-nc.org/post-carbon) group in Nevada City/Grass Valley produces a weekly T.V. show, which will soon be airing on the Sacramento Public Access Channel via the our locally produced video magazine "Media Edge" (http://www.wethemedia.tv/).  Wouldn't it be great if we, too, could produce a local talk-show or educational feature to air regularly?

The IndyMedia event listed below offers some information on how to get started "being the Media."  Basic training for use of the Access Sacramento studios must be arranged separately.
