Greetings,
I have am new to the forum, have been reading the newsletter for a while.
Check out www.roncastle.com/ecocover/
EcoCover is a glocal idea, manufacturing organically certified biodegradable paper mulch mats that take the place of plastic film used in agriculture.
In the USA alone, we use about 3 millions of nonsustainable plastic as mulch every year. Disposal is a big problem in many places.
All of EcoCovers claims regarding our products are based on independently conducted university and other independent research.
I am working to sell the manufacturing plants to make EcoCover products locally. The future of agriculture is localization.
The manufacturing process is automated, emits no VOCs, no waste, a little CO2 and water vapor. The manufacturing of the products is profitable. Our prices are competitive with plastic for our EcoCrop products, about 5.5 cents per square foot at the moment.
If a relocalization group was to manufacture EcoCover, you would support local agriculture in your area by providing needed inputs and make a profit to promote further localization improvements.
The investment is not small, about $1.5 million US. But, EcoCover is a BIG idea in the right direction and we need more of these?
Cheers,
