Signing up for a group is a three step process:

1. Create a user account.
2. Log into the website with your username and password.
3. Sign up for your group.

1) Create a user account

In the right hand column of any webpage on relocalize.net there is an
area for you to enter your login name and password. Directly below the
"Log in" button there is a link "Create a New Account" that will take
you to the registration page.

Required information is highlighted and marked with an asterisk (please
note that your street address and phone number will not be displayed to
the public). The "introduction" field is not required but a short
description will allow other members to learn a bit about you. You may
want to join a Local Group from the drop down menu of Local Post Carbon
Groups.

Once all your information has been entered click "create a new account"
and your new password will be email to the email address that you
provided in the form.

2) Log-in

In the yellow sidebar on any page of relocalize.net there is an area for
entering your login name and password. Your password will have been
emailed to you when you register. Your browser will prompt you for the
option to remember your password. Click the "Log in" button to log into
the site.

3) Join a Local Post Carbon Group on-line?

Most Local Groups have their membership setting set to "open." This
means that if you are logged into the website, you can click on the
green "Join this Local Group now" button that is in the yellow sidebar
under the name of the Local Group on the group homepage. In your case
the button would be on this page:
http://www.relocalize.net/groups/northernrivers . Clicking on this link
will automatically make you a member of the Post Carbon Northern Rivers.

Once you are a member of a Local Post Carbon Group, you can participate
in the Group Forum Discussions and post your blog post in the Community
Blog.
