While the showing was small by some standards, Heather Carter's course, Sustainability and Stewardship of the Earth looks to be a success. The first class, covering mainly climate change, but also briefly delving into Peak Oil (to be covered more thoroughly in an upcoming class focused on energy issues), generated enthusiastic discussion and strong participation.
We look forward to the 5 remaining, weekly classes. A big thank you to Heather Carter, both for her hard work preparing to present this series of classes, and for her vision for Adult Education in Wimberley. It was her encouragement and vision that led, in part to the large federal grant which supports her course and several other unique adult education offerings at Katherine Anne Porter Charter High School.
