Climate Change, Africa Up In Smoke?

Africa is particularly vulnerable to climate change. It's the world's poorest continent. Half the population of sub-Saharan Africa lives in absolute poverty and has the least resources to adapt. Africa's economies are agriculture-based, and highly susceptible even to minute variations in temperature and rainfall.

In a meeting at the Unitarian Chapel Hall, Brunswick Square, Bristol, BS2 8PE, speakers:
Andrew Simms (Policy Officer, New Economics Foundation)
Dr James Bendle (Research Scientist, Bristol University)
Professor Mike Mortimer (Geographer and Dryland Researcher, International Institute for Environment and Development)
will debate the issues of climate change in Africa and demand action be taken to stop climate chaos.
