OACC presents a seminar on organic crop, soil and livestock research from across Canada. There will be about 8 talks of 20 minutes each, selected from the call for papers. A poster session will accompany this seminar & will be on view all weekend in UC103 & on the Trade Expo floor.
Friday Morning Seminars
"Sustainability & Organic Agriculture" by The 4th Annual Conference for Social Research in Organic Agriculture. This conference will highlight social-science research in the area of food, organic agriculture and future trends. It will feature eight talks of about 20 minutes each, selected from the call for papers.
"The Seedsavers Forum"
An EFAO speaker will give an opening address to expose the prime challenges & issues around organic seed faced by vegetable growers & market gardeners.
Then, numerous seed producers & seed advocacy groups & marketers will present & discuss: communicating info on seed breeding/saving, germination rates, marketing, heritage vs. hybrid, propagation, GMO's.
