The purpose of this conference is to educate students and community members in a framework that allows for concrete, local action in response to immense, and often intimidating global issues, like climate change and peak oil. We hope to work in the space between academia and activism, inviting academics, politicians, activists, and student leaders to participate in a dialogue about environmentalism.
