Hello all, I've been charged with the task of establishing/expanding a Farmers' Market for a local community group in Buderim/Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast. I'm looking for farmers/growers, prefer organic but not essential, who are interested in participating. I'm the Secretary for the Organic Producers Association of Queensland and a member of the Chevallum School Permaculture Group. I can offer more information on the markets for those who are interested. How do we exchange private emails??
Cheers
Robyn

Sunny Coast farmers market

Hi Robyn! Thanks for posting to relocalize.net and how exciting about your market garden project. Which community group is doing it? Does the market already exist? I would love to hear more about it! You can contact me directly here, but if you simply reply here then others can chip in too!

There is a relocalisation group getting started in your region, called Creating a Sustainable Sunshine Coast - Nambour to Mooloolah (CASSC - just say "Cassy"). Please click that link then click the "join" button in the upper right of that page to join Cassy. Get others in the group to join as well and you'll all be able to use the forums here to brainstorm. and you can blog about your experiences with the farmer's market - that way the info and your experience is available for other relocalisation groups to benefit from as well!

You probably know Sonya Wallace - she's the CASSC group coordinator. If you click the link on her name you'll be able to private message her directly. She would definitely be the person to talk to, to get your ball rolling!

Thanks again and I hope to hear more from you soon!
