This dayschool will look at the range of renewable energy sources (wind, biomass, solar, tidal, wave, hydro and geothermal) and their persent and potential future role in energy supply systems. The day will provide an introduction to energy theory, the different technologies available, and economic and enviromental factors. Finally we will look at how renewable energy can help us achieve the necessary reductions in carbonb emissions to reduce the impacts of climate change.
