Bundaberg Landcare

Description:

Landcare is a uniquely Australian partnership between the community, government and business to 'do something practical' about protecting and repairing our environment. More than 4,000 volunteer community landcare groups - including bushcare and urban landcare, rivercare, coastcare and sustainable agriculture groups - are tackling land degradation in every corner of Australia.

How to get involved:

The Bundaberg Landcare Group holds working bees at Smiths crossing on the Kolan river (via Bucca) on the first Sunday of every month from 9am to 11am. Free smoko provided. For details on dress and requirements contact Mike Johnson on 4152 0787 weeknights and weekends. So why not come along and enjoy a pleasant Sunday morning, with like minded people helping saving some beautiful old trees, and some young ones as well. The work is only as hard as you wish it to be and all tools and assistance are provided. Think globally act locally.
