Learn about how residential homes can be adapted to incorporate solar systems for hot water.
Post Carbon London Group will host a lecture presented by Mr. Glen Porter of Viessmanns (Waterloo) and will review a variety of panel systems that can be attached to existing homes, complete with explanation of support works to adapt existing internal pipe system. Topics reviewed will be: establishment of how much sun enters the site (solar envelope), location and orientation of panels and choice of a variety of panel systems, storage of hot water and equipment required to adapt the existing plumbing in the house.
Viessmanns is one of the larger manufacturers of solar panels and has significant sales in the US. In recent years the Ontario market has been increasing and they have a significant amount of experience in Ontario. This is an opportunity to allow the public to ask questions and discuss the merits with attendants.
