It is THE summer event for all us recumbent bicycle fans, and I can't wait for this exciting bike week event! It is next Friday night, may 16th starting at 6:30pm at the Julia Davis bandshell and will be a fun group ride going all the way out to lucky peak and back along various roadways for a total of 25 miles. I have been puttering all week finding things to attach to my recumbent bicycle and I even ordered myself a new light for the ride home. I'm hoping there will be a great turnout with lots of fun and different recumbents there, but the event is open to normal bikes too. We recently saw a new bike film compilation DVD that had a five minute special on recumbents titled "Bent" that was by far the best movie of the whole DVD and showed a recumbent rally in Oregon where everybody outfitted their bikes with glow sticks, flashing lights, and neon for the night ride and to say that seeing all that neon made me even more excited about this Friday would be an understatement. Hope to see you there!
