Discussion
- core needs of Burlington citizens: what action can be taken personally, and what locally
- help in understanding the energy problem at basic level, also implications for food, transportation, healthcare
- idea of a dramatic shift in lifestyle is coming
- demonstrate it is possible to reduce energy footprint, a positive stance, provide actionable items for urban dwellers where they are now
- community building will be important to cope with stresses until now not contemplated by citizens, eg cost of fuel,
- need a project that focuses us now, as the SBCG.

Ended meeting with a showing of segment of End of Suburbia.

Next Steps

We agreed to action items:
- prepare open meeting April 11
- contact our personal network of friends and neighbours
- organize for the local premier of Escape from Suburbia
- refine purpose and goals with more input from newcomers
