CO2 - Kick The Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy is the theme of the 2008 World Environment Day. From 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday 1 June 2008 at the PCYC on Maryborough Street in Bundaberg you'll find local food and drink, energy efficient & renewable energy products, local community organisations, live entertainment, tons of environmental and alternative energy displays, workshops on everything from solar cooking to composting and all the free mulch you can legally carry! Also, don't miss your chance to win a Solatube 250mm skylight, fully installed in your home, from Allsafe Energy Efficient Products - valued at $500!
Inside the PCYC, check out a film about sustainability or learn from experts talking about the environment, climate change, waste and recycling and more. Entry to the Bundaberg 2008 World Environment Day Celebration is FREE! Best of all, we'll be offsetting the day's emissions so the entire event will be carbon neutral! Sponsored by the Burnett Mary Regional Group, 93.1 Sea FM, Naturechain Magazine, Duffy's City Buses, the Bundaberg Bugle and Allsafe Energy Efficient Products. Sponsors and participants are welcome, please contact us.
