I'm very pleased to see that there appears to be some activity of the Tampa Bay Council, as I have been a member for over a year and in that time little has happened with the organization, as far as I am aware.
Perhaps you, Bob Schmidt, and others in executive positions within the Council simply need some help. Finding time to administer organizations can be difficult.
Please let me know how I might help get the TBPC Council working effectively again. We really need to use the infrastructure that has already been set up - such as this web site - to get the word out to more people. Time is ebbing away, and we really aren't educating people who are not already aware of the problems associated with peak oil as effectively as we need to.
One of the most problematic areas I've found is in communicating with other members who log onto the Council's website and post comments. Often they don't leave email addresses to which to respond, so there is little hope of us working with one another to get anything done. Am I missing something here, or do we need to rethink our internal communications? I'm not being critical - I think you guys have done a wonderful job with the website - but members of the group certainly aren't staying in touch with me.
Please respond and let me know how I can be of service. I'm very committed to educating people about peak oil and the potential problems we may have to live with in a post carbon world, but I'm not sure what to do to more effectively get the word out.

Reorganization of the Tampa Bay Çouncil
