Tutorial: Finding Local Users and Contacting Them

The Relocalize Network users all have pages that give you information about their blogging activity, how long they have been a member and a contact form for sending email messages. Right below the "Who's Online" box in the lower, right hand side of the site is the "Search For Members By Location" link, which you see pictured below. You need to be logged in to use the search function! Reminder: The images below are NOT clickable, they are there as a visual aid and cannot be typed into or clicked on.

Upon clicking this link, you will be brought to The search page, here you can search for content, users or based on location.

Click on either Content, Users or By Location tabs above the keyword box, then input a search query and click Search!

In my test search, I typed in my own user name and it came up with the only "Timg" on the site, had I searched for just Tim, everyone with my first name would appear. Click on the result to visit their user page, which contains their contact form.

This is the user account page, it displays various information about that particular user. To get to that user's contact page, simply click on the Contact tab at the top, right under the user name.

The contact form is very straight forward, just type in a subject, then a body (your message) into the form and click send e-mail! Your message will be sent to the email that user registered with at Relocalize.net.
