Upcoming Idaho's Bounty Order - Interest?

Upcoming: Purchase Opens- April 28, 10 a.m. Purchase Closes- May 2, 11 p.m. Delivery Day- May 7. 5- 6:30 pm.

Any interest? Any volunteers to pick up for us? Pickup in Hagerman on Thursday, May 8th can probably be arranged. Frozen items will need to be carried in coolers.

As usual, I need some lead time to get the order organized for Monday morning. So please have your request in by this the Friday 25th. There's some leeway on this, but note that things do sell out so your best bet is getting the order to me early. Payment should be received by next Wednesday April 30th.

From the IB website:
This order cycle:
New producers: Blue Sage Farm (lamb) and Julie Foods (soups)
Here's more. . . get potatoes now as they'll be gone soon -
Hagerman High School tomatoes are now out.

Any feedback on the lamb or elk or anything else from last order?
I must second Casey's enthusiastic review of the White Cheddar from Ballard. Words cannot describe this experience.

Re: Order update:Order opened

Hello,

This is Johan Pieterse's wife.  We would be interested in the next vegetable cycle, as would some people we know.  Do you have any information on when that would be and what would be available?

Many thanks,

Rosemary

There's still time to get an

There's still time to get an order in for this order cycle. In fact we only have a couple of families ordering so far.

For this next pickup, I'm trying to arrange a visit to Parrott Family Farms. Scott, if you drive on the 8th, could T and I ride along and include a visit to this farm? It's in Berger, Idaho, near Twin and Buhl. There may be other producers or farmers we could meet up with as well. I'd really be interested in this kind of explore.

Anyone else curious about other producers in that area? Perhaps we could add them to the tour list.

Bounty Order

Hi all - I know I haven't met you all yet, but hope to in the near future! Anneliese - is there any room left for members for the order? Scott, I have a large river cooler if it would help for the pickup.

Yes, we're still accepting

Yes, we're still accepting new members to the buying group. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or feel free to contact me via email, too....

To contact other members who have enabled this option (which I have), look to the yellow menu on the right. Under the Membership heading is a red link of our member count - I think we're at 50 now. Click that link and click on the member name and then the Contact tab.

By the way, to make yourself available to be contacted, look to the yellow menu on the right. Under USER MENU choose MY ACCOUNT. Click the EDIT tab and near the bottom is the option to enable contact. Your email address is not made available to other users - it's is masked by the relocalize network. You can make lots of changes here, including various email notification options. Good to know.

The buying club is a great way to participate in the Idaho's Bounty bounty at quite a reduced member price. This upcoming purchase will be our third one and it's really gone smoothly so far. I think all the folks who have participated feel pretty good about it and are continuing to participate. Let me know if you have questions.

Food purchase

I haven't had a chance to cook any of the meat that I ordered, but the fresh greens were excellent! I will probably order a bit - will send in later tonight. I also have been talking about our group purchasing with my Idaho Earth Institute's Sustainable Living class so will email them when I get home to see if anyone is interested in becoming a BSLC group purchase member and placing an order with us.

Also, there is a pretty good chance that I can run down May 8th - should be my day off if we aren't too busy. I only have a couple of small coolers though.
