Transition Cotati

Discussion about walking in and around Cotati.
Since 2000 Cotati has been going through a process of becoming more pedestrian & cyclist friendly - with a new look to the Downtown Cotati area on Old Redwood Hwy.
This forum is for discussing good walks in and around Cotati - with the perspective of looking at what walking and cycling facilities Cotati will need in the future. This could provide input to Cotati 's planning process.
As of January 2008, active planning documents in progress in Cotati include the Downtown Specific Plan and then the Cotati General Plan.

History: Cotati is at a "cross roads" or Hub in Sonoma County. As the City develops, how will it want to fit into this cross roads? Does it want to continue to be a car-centered little city, or can it transform itself into being safer and more enjoyable for pedestrian's, bicyclists and provide safe routes to destinations within Cotati for all the children, as well as supporting motorized transport infrastructure?
