William Rees from the University of British Columbia will give a lecture on Monday March 5 at the University of Utah in room 127 in the College of Architecture+Planning at 4:30 PM. Much of Professor Rees’ work is in the realm of human ecology and ecological economics where he is best known for inventing ‘ecological footprint analysis.’ Dr Rees’ book on the concept, Our Ecological Footprint (co-authored with then PhD student Dr Mathis Wackernagel) was published in 1996. Dr. Rees recognizes Peak Oil, and we encourage Post Carbon SL members to attend this lecture. The room only seats around 100 people, so it may be worth arriving early.
